My wife has this wonderful idea about running for president. How great would it be if there were a candidate who was willing to put their entire platform on a website and then donate all of the money they raised to soup kitchens, homeless shelter, and other humanitarian efforts. That's one stop shopping there. The press would eat it up...for like 20 minutes. They'd have their quick little piece and then they would forget about it all.
Really, why is it that someone has to spend millions of dollars to be in the forefront of the American psyche? Celebrities, athletes, and politicians blow through millions and we talk about them all the time. God created the whole world and spent zillions, and we're afraid to say His name in public. Why is there a double standard? When do we start valuing honesty, integrity, and straightforwardness? Folks, that's my campaign promise! I'll tell you what I'm thinking and why I'm thinking it. I won't always make the right decision, but I will make the one I believe to be the best. My name is Jason, and I'm running for President!
